Crop Insurance

Revenue Protection

Your crops are your livelihood… protecting that revenue is so important! At Lundeen Isaacson, the revenue protection insurance is our top multi-peril product.

RP provides protection against a loss of revenue caused by price increase or decrease, low yields or a combination of both. This coverage guarantees an amount based on the individual producer’s APH and the greater of the projected price or harvest price. Both the prices are established according to the crop’s applicable commodity board of trade/exchange as defined in the Commodity Exchange Price Provisions (CEPP.) While the revenue protection guarantee may increase, the premium will not. The projected price is used to calculate the premium and replant payment or prevented planting payment. An indemnity is due when the calculated revenue (production to count x harvest price) is less than the revenue protection guarantee for the crop acreage.

A company hail policy is used together with a Multi-Peril policy. It is a private product which provides protection against unavoidable loss to a crop caused by hail, fire, or lightning. Our companies offer some of the most extensive Crop hail risk management programs available, with a large variety of plans ranging from complete hail protection to 50% deductibles.

Production hail

This is our most popular Hail product with our customers at Lundeen Isaacson. This coverage allows you to insure up to 120% of your Approved Production History. Production Hail is cost effective and you can buy more coverage at a cheaper price compared to the companion hail policies. The payout is usually quicker and we have seen very happy farmers come claim time with this product.

Our adjusters are truly the best. We have a great relationship with our adjusters and they go to bat for our farmers come claim time. That is what really matters!

Livestock Risk Protection

Livestock Risk Protection is designed to protect against declining market prices. A variety of coverage levels and insurance periods are offered that match the time the livestock would normally be marketed.

LRP is sold at coverage levels and is subsidized by the government between 35%-55% depending on the coverage level that is chosen.

At the end of your contract, the final price is calculated using the CME Index, and if the index falls below your contract’s coverage price, you may be paid the difference with price adjustment factors. The only factors we need to know are how many head of livestock you will be marketing, what month you plan to sell and what they will weigh at the time of sale. We can customize the coverage price and rates based off what your needs are.

Crop Fire Protection

Crop Field Fire Insurance can be added to your existing Multi-Peril policy. You’re regular Multi-Peril Insurance covers a fire if it is caused by an act of nature. But what is your machine get hot or someone throws out a cigarette and starts a fire? This is when the Crop Fire insurance coverage comes in to play. It is very affordable and helps you sleep at night!

Crop Deadlines

For Claims purposes – Notice of Losses  must be turned in within 15 days of the end of the insurance period-which is the earlier of destruction of the crop, harvest, or the date found in the actuarials. Revenue losses have 45 days after the harvest price is set to be submitted.
